What is FREYR?

FREYR is a digital medical practice where I aim to prevent illness and help both men and women feel better and regain or retain their health.

For what can I approach FREYR?

For all your questions about your testosterone, testosterone therapy (TRT), and your health, you have come to the right place.

I also help with:

Typical health issues in men, such as hair loss and erectile problems.
Improving high blood pressure, diabetes or insulin sensitivity, and high cholesterol.
If you have questions about your health and healthy aging, including topics like insulin sensitivity (diabetes), cholesterol, and more.
Side effects from the use of testosterone or other male hormones.
Use of medication (e.g., antidepressants, painkillers) and their potential effects on your hormones.
Use of finasteride and post-finasteride syndrome
If you're not satisfied with your current testosterone treatment.
Hormonal issues after an infection or illness (e.g., post-COVID).
Use and risks of performance-enhancing substances, such as growth hormone, SARMs, research chemicals, and peptides.

How does FREYR work?

Sign up
Sign up via the website, email, or WhatsApp. After that, we’ll schedule a phone consultation right away, or I’ll first prescribe a blood test for you.
Blood test
You will receive the referral for the blood test via email. You can have the blood test done at a lab or medical center near you. In some cases, you may need to schedule an appointment.
Consultation
During a phone consultation, we will discuss the results of the blood test, and I will provide advice. If necessary, I will prescribe medication, and we will start a treatment plan.
Get started
You get started with the advice. You are not in this alone! We stay in contact through WhatsApp and schedule follow-up appointments.

Do I need a referral?

No, for my care, you do not need a referral from your GP. You can directly book an appointment or request a blood test yourself.

Can I also come to you as a woman?

Yes, I serve both male and female. You're in the right place if you have questions about healthy aging, your hormones, or the use of anabolic steroids. You can also reach out to me with questions about menopause and menstruation.

Do you also prescribe anabolic steroids?

I do prescribe testosterone, but only if the blood test and consultation reveal eligibility.

Prescribing anabolic steroids for the purpose of enhancing performance is not allowed in the Netherlands.

Are the costs covered by health insurance?

My approach to preventive care and personal attention is currently not covered by Dutch health insurers. If I prescribe medication, it will be reimbursed by your health insurer. However, medical tests and consultations are not reimbursed.

Is my medical data safe?

I adhere to safety regulations and professional handling of patient data, which are part of the medical profession and are expected from a healthcare provider.

Is my information shared with other healthcare providers?

Your medical information is confidential, and medical confidentiality is leading in this regard. Your information will not be shared with third parties, including your health insurer or general practitioner. Only you can give consent for a third party to access your medical data.

Can I be properly assisted through a digital consultation?

As a doctor, I am legally authorized to provide care digitally. Through a comprehensive consultation, laboratory results, photos, or videos, I can get a clear picture of your situation. If I believe you need further care, I will refer you to your general practitioner or a specialist in a hospital.
